The Historic Macedonia AME Church has been a spiritual and community center of Fernandina Beach Florida for close to 150 years. Throughout the 20th century, Macedonia AME Church has provided social and community service programs, including educational opportunities and employment assistance. The church continues to feed the hungry and homeless while working and assisting the Coalition for The Homeless of Nassau County. Providing voter education and registration programs through our Social Action Commission, Bridging The Gap!
To celebrate this magnificent 150th anniversary, we are working with a robust long-range plan to achieve substantial capital improvement and expanded program development to more broadly serve the Fernandina Beach community.
Our rich history, our central city location, and our reputation give us a perfect opportunity to serve our congregation, our neighborhood, and the wider Fernandina Beach community.
Covid-19 has resulted in dramatic losses of services tithing, and most of our revenue-producing programs, We have been prevented from fulfilling our emergency capital repairs and planned improvements to meet the goals of our long-range fund-raising plans.
We are developing a Go Fund Me program to raise funds to do the critical necessary repair to our roof system, to do interior church painting repair and improvements so we can move forward with our long-range plan goals for our 150th anniversary in May 2022.
The funds from a Go Fund Me program will allow us to meet Phase #1 goals of our long-range plan. We are committed to strive forward, even under restrictive Covid-19 precedence.

Monthly Building Fund Collections, Women’s Day Celebration, Men’s Day Celebration, Pastors’ Appreciation Services, Macedonia AME Church Anniversary Celebration, Friends and Family Day Celebration, Guest Pastor Day Celebration, Mission work, funerals.
